One of the complaints that Slezak had about Haley on AI was that nobody was helping her learn to move while singing. She didn't know what to do with her body. I think that part of the polish that Haley has gained from performing live is learning to move while singing. Some of this is dance. Regardless of whether she taps publicly it seems that learning dance moves furthers her ability to perform and move on stage.

I don't remember when, but I remember someone asking Haley how she keeps in such great shape (One of the things that will surprise you if you ever meet her in person, she is smaller/trimmer, than sometimes the camera gives her credit for )

Her answer? She watches her diet more carefully and there's the Hula Hoop... I can totally see her adding tap as another way she can have fun and get a work out at the same time
