The 2nd single versus a Fall Tour versus nothing

I'm gonna attempt to insert an awkward transition.

While I echo Tusk's sentiments that Haley will end up being fine, I just can't help feeling blue.

I was looking over some of the older threads at IDF before Listen Up! came out.
There was so much optimism and so much to look forward too. Everyone was so excited for Haley saying things like Oh My!'s gonna be a summer smash, Hit the Ground Runnin will be a hit. Haley for Best New Artist, and seeing all that optimism flutter out has made me sad. Maybe, I'm overreacting but it feels like that vibe has largely dissappeared from IDF.

I'll admit I've lost some faith in Interscope. Maybe its just the fact that summer's winding down, but I remember thinking back in April when Free first came out how happy I was for Haley and how excited I was to see her career take off. We had John Mayer being thrown out as a tour mate.

Now we sit here, twindling our thumbs, waiting for news, wondering if she'll even get to tour.

Sorry if I'm being a downer, but I honestly can't shake this feeling of disappointment. It's like Haley's not even being given a chance to prove herself Guess that's just my youthful naivety.

We get new members as we speak and you don't really have to worry about being a downer because it's normal to have feelings like that. I think it all originates when we put our expectations too high. I said this so many times that Haley is where she supposed to be ;new artists she's learning how to be on her own for the first time in her life she's learning the business end of this complicated trade. Let's go back a year ago where was she? Now where is she quite a contrast. The thing of it is it's not really about us I know we all want her to succeed and she will but I think our time frame and her timeframe are little different. We can't manipulate her; Or Interscope, all we can do three things number one. Let's let Haley live out her dreams because she's having a ball right now. To give Interscope some credit and let them do what they do. And number three people need to stop bitching and carrying on and complaining in this form. It doesn't help anything it just complicates the matters more and that brings negativity on. As fans let's just enjoy the hails.

I have an Why don't we all put Haley's album on repeat, sit back and enjoy the ride. Sure, it's not as fast a ride as some folks like, but it sure is an interesting ride. Haley seems happy and doesn't seem to be as affected by this leisurely progression as some of her fans. I know everyone here loves her or they probably wouldn't be here, but I for one, am going to enjoy this slow, interesting ride that is Haley's career! I hope to see her someday and I would rather it be in one of these "smaller" venues than a huge stadium. But I still want her to have as much success as she wants. Again, Haley seems happy and isn't that what her fans truly want for her?

Like Tom, I'm a big fan of business/commerce. I introduce topics about the label's decision making and possible courses of action not to be negative but because they interest me. I'm learning as I go and the music industry is too as technology has changed everything.

I continue to believe Haley will ultimately be very successful and have no doubt she will make a good living as a performer for as long as she wishes.
