Yes, O'hare is closer to us. Not sure about the prices since I never fly on planes, only once (well twice for round trip) in 2007.

O'hare is just a hop, skip & a jump from Wheeling (usually just 20 minutes on the Tri-state I-294) Midway is very inconvenient, sometimes taking well over an hour. Southwest does have some cheaper flights and they only come in to Midway. Try for O'hare. I can run free taxi service to O'hare for you but Midway is a no go. If you have access to a private plane (HA! ya right) Chicago Executive Airport is right in Wheeling. Another option would be Amtrak but you'd need to transfer to a Metra train to get out to Wheeling but that train doesn't run on weekends.

Thanks, I usually fly SW to Midway for the cheaper fares, but traffic to and from is a hassle, especially on Cicero. I will definitely book to O'Hare for the gig. My private plane is undergoing extensive refurbishing right now, so that's probably out. LOL.

BTW...it's not looking good that the bandshell near where Haley worked will be even close to ready. Start of construction was delayed by politics and Heritage Park will now not reopen until next year so I'm back to looking into the HOME bar concept. I might be able to discuss it with Harry tomorrow night.

Yeah, my Lear Jet has a tendency to crash on landings to so that's out. If im still in TX i'll fly out of Bush int. cont.airport. If in Ca Its Burbank

Yeah Midnight, I'd leave the Lear at home. Speaking of HOME, I just checked out the link for the HOME bar that Himm2 provided earlier, looks like a nice place. 15000 square foot theater for performances, and has a capacity of up to 1000. Wonder what the cost would be to book there.

I've been able to arrange group rates in the past for less than $55/nite and it was designed by the architectural firm I used to work for.
If you want something upscale in Wheeling this Westin is a short walk from my house:

but expect it to be about $150/nite (well maybe a long walk)
