apologies for the bad camerawork, but very nice performance by haley reinhart at the chelsea market in new york city to help raise money for music education sponsored by motorola

I know, that it says it was for a charity, but to me it looks like she was busking on the street or at the tube (metro) station, especially with that money cup in front of her. Hopefully I am wrong.

She wasn't busking. They flew Keith first-class from Florida, had a driver waiting for him and they stayed in a Boutique Hotel.

edit: I did see someone put some bills in the cup though. Perhaps they were taking donations for music education. I dunno, odd gig.

It looked like Haley was singing without a mic, in a busy area, but didn't have to strain to make herself heard. I guess she had an attentive audience.

Chelsea Market is an enclosed urban food court, shopping mall, office building and television production facility located in the Chelsea neighborhood of the borough of Manhattan, in New York City. Built in the former National Biscuit Company factory complex where the Oreo cookie was invented and produced, the 22-building complex fills two entire blocks bounded by Ninth and Eleventh Avenues and 15th and 16th Streets, with a connecting bridge over Tenth Avenue. In addition to the retail concourse in the structure east of 10th Avenue, it also provides standard office space for tenants, including media and broadcasting companies such as Oxygen Network, Food Network, Mr Youth, MLB.com, EMI Music Publishing and the local New York City cable station NY1. Also, more recently, Google has moved into some of the second and fourth floors.

Could be that she & Keith were playing the role of buskers. (for the video they are shooting)

It looked like Haley was singing without a mic, in a busy area, but didn't have to strain to make herself heard. I guess she had an attentive audience.

This video feels like it could be in the "Haley in the Wild" thread.... It is an odd event, low key publicity for charity

Funny to see her singing without a mic, she gets to be a little more expressive with her hands. (although it seems her poor mic/right hand isn't sure what to do at times )

Love this vid and the all time best "Haley in the Wild" vid IMO...she looks every bit the college student in her outfit and specs

It is amazing that stairway2halien was able to find this video! Great job!

Kind of a strange place for recording Haley and Keith. Especially since they both flew in for the job. and I believe this was in the early morning too! By 9:30am Keith was tweeting that it was over and he was going home.

But I love hearing Haley sing...anyplace, anytime...

And our HF detectives got the job done again!!!!
