Midnight you gotta come. Some flights on spirit airlines are only 233$ nonstop to Ohare. (That's from Dallas-I dont know where you live) wish I had frequent flyer miles to give away.

Thanx Babbs I hope to be back in CA by that time.Spirit airlines takes off from LAX. and goes to Chi O'hare WTF never herd if that airline. Just a few things have to happen first and if all lines up, I'll be there: I have some cool Camera and video gear. U can bet that event will be all over the internet U-tube Everyone will be popping hot dogs along with a 40oz and taking pics

An Event Itinerary will be formulated as the time gets closer but it will at least be on Saturday August 31st...

Is that the day of Midnight's outdoor concert? What time would things likely get started? Folks could save some money by arriving on Saturday instead of Friday, but they need to get the timing right.

The main event would be early Saturday evening 8/31. Southwest only flies into Midway Airport. That's over an hour to Wheeling. Flights into Ohare are only 20 minutes away and I'm sure we could shuttle you from Ohare to a Wheeling area motel and a couple of those are around $60/nite or less, especially with a group rate. For out-of-towners with an airfare of less than $400 and some ridesharing to other events, I doubt if the weekend would cost more than $600 plus food and it could be an opportunity of a Halien lifetime.

You know the drill...go to 1:56 for the classic Captain Dinkens yell...this is just too exciting!

Ok, so Mrs. Buzz is totally clueless on this one...I'll be driving the 5-6 hours to Wheeling from the Twin Cities. I can sleep in your driveway Himm2 or the guest room...your choice! If I start now, I'm confident I can lose at least 25 pounds of bad attitude by Labor Day!

I've already signed up for the Captain Dinkens covered wagon tour of Wheeling; the Haley Reinhart extremely hot taco tour; the Patti Reinhart "I taught her everything she knows" home video extravaganza...and the Harry Reinhart "she's just a kid" karaoke sing-along.

That...and I'm bringing a $1000 for a front row seat.

This sounds like fun. I like the idea of the inexpensive Wheeling motel and hopefully being able to bum a ride or two. I am fairly confident I can get the time off at work in any case. I'll probably wait a while before booking anything until things firm up some more. Kinda exciting though.

Babbs - remind me, is your name Barb? My name is Barbara, I go by Barb IRL so we may be turning our heads in the same direction the whole weekend. In 2007, I flew to Nashville to meet another AI, Melinda Doolittle and also meet a bunch of fans (which I've posted about) it was an amazing good time, and I am still very close to a few of them. Anyway, DH thought I was a little nutty for that one, but at least it broke the ice and so this doesn't seem so out of left field!!

You know these things usually go the same way for me. I start out thinking I won't do it and then all of a sudden I get this feeling where is seems both possible and feasible. Once I reach a certain excitement level I go ahead and commit to it. I still can't believe I flew to Cape Cod to attend a Siobhan Magnus event a few years ago. It was very cool meeting fellow fans, though.
