Sometimes it helps to have more than just confidence. William Hung is a good example of confidence (sans talent), as uncomfortable (but relatively successful) as that was. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d5eP0wWLQY).

And for the record, one could justifiable say that most of my registers are thin, although, these days my (upper) alto range is finally beginning to have some depth (at least, in a way that I like).

In other words, most of us not trying to "make music" as our living are likely not to have that "full, rich, complete" sound that Haley has. But that's OK. You're not attempting to pass yourself off as a singer, so you don't have to sound like an accomplished singer.

^^^ I was being a smarty pants talking about my "upper register". hehe I learned everything I know from you and mercfan on the voice range thread. I never knew voice stuff could get so detailed. amazing...shows how little I know. But like Himm said, I do know what my heart and ears love.
