At the party, there were so many times I wanted to just go up to Haley and start talking but I couldn't think of anything good to say to her. I guess I should've said something about the Beatles and going to Fest with our mutual friends.

We do have a Haley inspiration thread, I'm not sure why I didn't post there!

I doubt that it's too late to include it on that thread. We have many "duplicated" messages among threads. And it would make that thread more personal to have an HF member share her story, NUG-y darlin'.

Nugster, I didn't know all that, but I'm glad I do. You seem so carefree. Great attitude and kudos to you for finding inspiration and hope in Haley's demeanor and success. Wish you all the best! If I could ask Haley something that I didn't, (or at least that I remember not asking) would be several things, but it would simply be " What are you up to later? " Does anyone know what she was getting into after the Halien shindig? It'd been to continue to hang out with her and maybe her friends. Also, for Patti (who I gave my business card to with my number - I'm not sure why! Lol): If you were 20 years younger...would Bonjojet be your cup of tea?

re: my first post - thanks for your well wishes. I posted that because I really did want Haley to know what she meant to me, it WAS what I wished I would have said, but in retrospect I'm glad I didn't say it. I wouldn't want to put her on the spot like that.

Now that it's confirmed that Jazzy Harry & Country Keith & Pop Diva J Lo will be judging how do you think you would do in their eyes if you were top 24 this coming season?

Fortunately for me, I really don't have any burning questions left unasked as far as Haley goes. Talking to her at the Cosmo shows and then during the BGD weekend I feel like I have been able to say most of the things I have wanted to. Of course there are still burning questions in the air, like when will the next album come out?! But questions like that can't be answered anyway, for many reasons, so I must remain patient and wait to see what happens next. It make me very happy to feel I have not missed opportunities where Haley is concerned.

Oh, and NUG, I have had a couple of Haley dreams. Should we start a thread about what happens in those dreams or is that a topic better left unspoken?

SWAN - I too feel I didn't leave anything "UNDONE". She was more than willing later in the day to "FOLLOW ME, she's right behind me" when I gave her a little tour of my wall of fame which she's a part of, my cardboard boat space shuttle, my Haley mouse pad and the Reinhart parts of my backyard stadium. I figure any questions I haven't asked will be answered eventually as I too have a Que Sera outlook on life...whatever will be, will be.

MAE - Please answer what you think the new judges would say.

I actually do have something I wish I would have told her....it's not a question, it's kind of serious, but to be honest I was afraid I'd start bawling while telling her. Buzz, your wife commented on me tearing up when I was talking to her, this is what it was about:

When she was on the show, I was very sick and depressed, and had pretty much resigned myself to a belief that my cancer was unstoppable, and I would soon die. I hope this doesn't sound trite, but Haleys way of living in the moment, no regret of the past, and no fear that things "won't work out" rubbed off on me. I fully desired to learn to be that way again, to pull myself up and focus on the good, satisfied in the small positives life hands us. Watching her overcome all of the obstacles she had on the show, the "que sera" attitude, coming out fighting every time she got knocked down, really inspired me to take my health into my hands. I have a long list of things that she inspired me to do in that way, quit smoking, I lost weight (50 lbs so far), quit eating unhealthy food, really it's a very long list when I write it all out- more than 11 life changing actions I took.

It's hard to believe that someone so young can see life so clearly, it's easy for the young to "take life by the $#**&", but to be so true to herself, her family, her beliefs, her place in this world, to want to change things and to actively go for...it's the biggest lesson anyone can learn.
