Seriously??? Miguel, really?? Harry doesn't have to echo Jimmy Iovine, because Harry's musical ear is far better than Jimmy's (ever thought of being). (Remember, it was Jimmy who instructed the piano player to "break that piano.") Harry's thinking of Elton John's version.

Please, people, stop relating everything to Haley. Yes, I know you think it shows how devoted you are (and, I know you all are devoted and sincere), but that's not really what it displays.

I'm fairly sure it was Haley who coined "Hard Core Bangage" and not Jimmy, so it is Haley relevant....not sure your point ...

Tonight was much better than last week. But the fact that MK is my favorite says more about this group as a whole, than it does her. I take it we aren't going to help her with her stage presence? No? Well then, can we at least convince her to stay seated? No..we like the Scotty hip hop motions in a ballad? Okay..cool. Go Randy.

Kind of don't understand why Jess got the criticism she did, while it was all sunshine and roses for Ben, Majesty, and Dexter..I do love her voice. But when she sings softer..more intimate songs..she just doesn't have whatever MK has..this subtle way of letting her vocals touch you.

On a side note: Both of them are really really pretty girls. Which is funny, because I'm not sure that would be either's first choice in compliment.

I want to like Majesty. But she needs to understand her voice is limited, and she should sing what she's good at. Tightrope. Happy. All good choices. These past two weeks though..she's tried too much.

Alex returned to form, which is nice to see. I'd like the talented WGWG to stick around a bit.

Sam isn't dominating like I expected he would..but if he outlasts some of the country guys and alex, he'll start getting those votes. I don't think Phillip Phillips dominated either at first.

I thought CJ had a great performance..but I don't really remember it.

And Jena is so interesting to me..I like her voice..but I have yet to like it on any cover she's sang, up until tonight..and even then..I didn't think it was incredible.

Caleb's the most consistent, has a great voice..and would be a deserving winner out of this bunch. (He's like a poor man's James..) But I don't like him.

I didn't hear any reference to Haley's performance, other than a general comment about hitting the keys harder. But that was a mess. I thought Ben looked and sounded like he was auditioning for a gig as a lounge singer (I see Slezak had a similar reaction). Interesting he started at the piano, then got up and walked around. All similarities to you know who's rendition of the song end there.

From Wetpaint: If you’ve been paying attention to American Idol news as of late, you might be thinking the same thing we are: the end is nigh. First came news that Fox President Chase Carey said the show is “winding down,” and will only return in a limited capacity in the future. News has since emerged that the UK has ended its Idol run... smack dab in the middle of Season 13. Talk about shocking!
According to Digital Spy (via Yahoo!), Idol has mysteriously disappeared from UK channel 5’s viewing schedule. The network had broadcast the beginning of the current season but only up until the big Top 12 reveal.
A spokesperson for 5* confirmed that they won’t be running any shows beyond that for now, but did say the show will return in the summer.
The powers that be at Idol in the US aren’t against making mid-season changes either. You might recall they tried to switch out Mariah Carey for current judge Jennifer Lopez last season, but were stymied by Team Mariah. Drama, drama, drama!
Another thing we know is that the show’s ratings have been in a freefall for a few seasons now, which was why Chase Carey called for a reduction in Idol’s scope
