RE: Haley Reinhart's funky a$$ reality project
I rarely, rarely tweet (have a different name then HF) but decided to respond to the "HOLY CONNOLI" tweet with my own congrats and best wishes for the video (I contributed a couple of times).
My tweet was a while after her initial tweet, so imagine my great surprise when she replied with a "Thanks so much! ))". Haha... took me a while to even realize that someone tweeted me!
I can't wait to see the video - hopefully it is released sometime this summer.

RE: Haley Reinhart's funky a$$ reality project
Oh Buzz, if only I could have your perspective of levity, I might not take things more seriously than they actually are.
I'd like to apologize to everybody for my recent outburst.
I think I let the 'worry' that this project go well for Haley get to me, that it magnified the importance of things. The "Energizer Bunny" moniker that Buzz has so, embarrassingly but accurately applied to me, is both a blessing and a curse. It's great when I get inspired to do something creative, supplies the energy. Conversely, it can also fuel the negative aspects of my personality. I can sometimes tend to fixate, which, combined with my perceived importance of this project, acted as a tinderbox and ignited the things I said.
I used to always say, "In Haley, I trust"... well, obviously, that didn't happen and the result is I ended up embarrassing myself adding significance to the wrong thing, and spoiling an eventful day in Haley's career.
I should have highlighted that there is so much support and confidence in Haley, that her fan's support easily cleared a goal that seemed insurmountable at the beginning. Instead, I fixated on 'would have, should have, could have', overcome with the worry of 'disaster', I let it take control....
I have no idea what Haley was doing, like Rachel said, there could've been plenty of things that required attention so she couldn't mark the event like some, like I, thought she should have. I was wrong to assume she had 'nothing better to do'... very presumptuous and wrong headed of me
Anyway, This was... IS, an AMAZING accomplishment, we and Haley should be proud of what was accomplished. I very much look forward to seeing the next step of this process, the song and the video.
Someday, I'll find that 'off' switch and save myself even more embarrassment and apologies in the future...
at least I think there's an 'off' switch

Perhaps your dimmer worked too well, it certainly wasn't bright of me, to say the least. Don't know Watt my problem was ....

I had been receiving some negative feedback before the whole thing which ratcheted things up, in my mind. Not an excuse, because I had those concerns to begin with, but the comments did exacerbate them...
I need to remember, I am just a fan, and sometimes, without knowing the facts, I shouldn't make general assertions, especially if they might be hurtful
I've had people volunteer that I should contact them so they can 'smack some sense' into me, next time I feel the need to further embarrass myself....so that should help
Back on topic, people are still donating, it seems the autographed cd was a smart option to add, up to 41, that's $1640 since it was added
