Yes-the microphone-Randy with all his years in the music business and this is a major revelation to him.I love Melinda in these-half the fun is watching her struggling to be nice or not to laugh after one of Slezak's zingers.

I liked it too. Not sure it'll be enough to save her.

Jena deserves to win. Like..really truly deserves it. She's not a one trick pony. Has stage presence. Has improved significantly. And she's pulling out great performances.

Not to mention, she's young, cute, and can write music..which would be good for Idol's brand.

I do hope it's Jess & Jena in the Finals but Jess will never come close to the stage presence of Queen Haley. I really felt that Haley was sitting in the corner of that Nebraska Bar while I felt Jess was just reading the lyrics from memory.
Jena (the Musical Platipus a.k.a. Lea Michele) deserved a Kiss from J Lo and the King Elvis himself.

It funny (in the peculiar sort of way) that when Haley sang this song the judges reacted like it was a piece of garbage and Haley really screwed up. Granted it was a new song to most people at that time, but it didn't take a musical rocket scientist to enjoy her performance. Now it has been performed twice on the show in the three years after Haley's season. A popular pick and one the judges have *loved*.

YAI was one of several low points for Randy, JLo and the producers that season with respect to their handling of Haley. The taint they put on the performance also suppressed that number of views received on uploads of the video.

I believe the finalists will be Jena and Caleb. Jessica probably goes home tomorrow, but I wouldn't rule out Alex as the low vote getter.

I agree, Jess did a good job with her version of "You and I", but, Noone can match Haley and her classic Wail!! period!
