It will be interesting to see what kind of support Haley get's from within the industry after the video and song comes out.
I know that Haley is officially not signed at this time and this is supposibly a independent project, but I can not help to believe that there are people behind Haley that have an interest in her success.
I remember that when the Free video came out there was one night where Haley's VEVO video was linked to other artists video's and the count went up like 100000 over night. Strangely this linking only lasted one night.
It will also be interesting to see what kind of radio play SMYM will get.
Anyway, interesting times are laying ahead with all kind's off room for speculation.
Like they say in amusement park's " Buckle up and enjoy the ride"

I think Haley will get support from the usual sources that cover reality television: The Hollywood Reporter, Yahoo! Music, etc. But cracking the door open further is going to be hard unless the song somehow reaches a broad audience and catches fire.

With no real knowledge of how they plan to promote this, I'd say it's probably as 'grassroots' as you can get as far as distribution in the 21st century (including piracy)... Given that she's released it so far in advance of the official release date and the age of the internet we live in, we shouldn't get too excited about radio play. I mean "Free" with Interscope's name behind it didn't get any significant play from radio.
OTOH, Haley has had relatively decent success getting heard through her deal with Ole (I'm assuming) getting plays for her song in stores and businesses. There's also the X Factor of how TouchTunes will get involved.

If I recall correctly, Touchtunes contributed $7500(?) and as far as we know, that wasn't for a private concert, at least that's not where they slotted that contribution.
SMYM also has 'club potential' for DJ's to remix, another 'grassroots' way to get your music spread/popularity.
It has been discussed extensively over the time we've followed Haley, the old ways of going about building a career in the entertainment industry needs to be re-evaluated. Haley has spent recent months attending festivals, networking with artists and performers from outside the fringe of 'corporate' influences. These are the types of folk who will try new things, imagine new ways to entertain and have the talent to see them through....
Before that, she was involved in song writing and production. There does appear to be an evolution of experiences that she's soaking in. She may not be adept at social media and self promotion, but I think it's fair to say that she has been keeping herself busy soaking in the environment and people that populate the industry she's chosen.
