RE: Connections -- Haley's Musical Buddies

Perhaps it's because I had exceedingly low to no expectations of Dylan's abilities, that he has been a pleasant surprise to me. While he's not stellar, he's also not what I consider "bad." He's got some fairly decent playing skills, but most of all what I like about him is how engaged he seems to be when performing. He's not just "phoning it it; he seems really "present" in his performances and he really seems to enjoy working with Mark and Haley, and is supportive, rather than wanting the spotlight on himself. He's got enough talent that he can develop his musical skills should he choose to go deeper, but his performing presence isn't something that can be taught -- or pretended.

I approached him to tell him that I was impressed by his guitar playing abilities, a great showing, he thanked me for the compliment then proceeded to talk about Haley and how much he/they appreciated her fans support for her.
That he humbly accepted the compliment then quickly diverted to talking about his friend, letting me know he and they appreciated all the support. That really brought up my respect for the guy... Very nice guy
Even through video, there is something about him that comes across as very genuine and sincere to me (while some of his photos don't display that). I'm glad that you spoke to him and that comes across in person as well. I wish him well -- and as long as he's hanging around Mark and Haley, perhaps something really good will happen for him as well.
