Help we"re lost in Vegas:
This is airhigh & ISCAT good old McDonalds coffee & WiFi always works. Well, where to start? I guess when Patti & Nikki walked by we offered them a seat, they accepted & that started the night. We previously got an ok from Scott Bradlee to film, after a mention of HaleyFans to break the ice. At this point ISCAT was at a different position to film & missed the initial introduction, he introduced himself latter & got an escort to Haley by Patti. Patti & Nikki were so cordially ingratiating we felt like we had known them forever.

Haley not only look stunning her radiance was so bright her appearance not only presented her as the star of the show, she was the star of the show you could tell by the crowd reaction. The whole show was spectacular. Scott Bradlee is a master showman with an all star cast.

We tried to follow Tusks suggestion and recorded from different angles. I was positioned in front of the stage & captured Haley with close ups & ISCAT was off to the side & filmed a more general view of the band without close ups. During the performance Patti mentioned that Haley hadn't eaten all day & needed a blood sugar boost. Haley suggested a cheese burger, ISCAT & I ran for the burger, I waited for it, in my absence swansteel was kind enough to record, not familiar with my camera he only got half of "All About That Base" I'll get the whole show song with close ups tonight.

We want to e-mail our files to Tusk so he can do his magic. If he can work miracles we are not concerned about our names being credited. Will need Tusks e-mail or some other way to pass the torch.

Leaving WiFi zone communications might be sparse.

Thanks for the reports. I think an anxiety of meeting and socializing is common to most of us. Those who've known me 'since the beginnings know that I had the same issue. But as I've said often, going to these Haley events ( not shows, there's so much else seems to go on), something takes over, I'm no longer hesitant, I become more social and positive, than I am in 'real life'. Haley has that kind of effect on people I guess. It also helps that previously unknown Haliens come up and introduce themselves, share their Haley enthusiasm with you (I'm still very good friends with some I met, Haley's first show at the Cosmo, over 2 years ago)

After near 20 shows, I still feel some anxiety, but now I've done this long enough, meet friends, then we go enjoy a show together

As far as videotaping AND enjoying the show, that was why I suggested the Monopod. It's more versatile than a tripod. A tripod lends to a more stationary shot, while a monopod, one leg, means you can rotate or move your camera according to the subject, all while shooting a steady shot (no arm strain from trying to hold it steady) You can also hold it stationary (and steady) when you want to look away from viewing the camera screen and enjoying the act In front of you without missing a shot.

(Also handy if you find your shot obstructed by enthusiastic fans, you can raise your camera above their heads. Mine can extend out to 6 feet. I tilt my camera's view finder to be able to still see the shot, and can raise it higher, if I wished - Room 5 was video'd w/ the camera above head level, held w/ one hand, while I enjoyed the show while intermittently checking the shot )

Re: The video files, emails are inefficient way, nowadays, to send large files, such as video files, they sometimes exceed your server's capacity, or max out your/recipient's email's size limit.

Free services like Dropbox is a better way to go. You upload the file to your dropbox account, then send the link to the recipient. You are just sending the link, not the file itself, so there's no waiting if the whole email uploaded and/or was sent, or potentially clogging up either of your emails. The email recipient gets the email as normal, clicks the link and downloads from your acct straight to their computer.

You have to sign up for an account, they walk you through a tutorial on how to use their product. Each step you complete, they 'gift' you more storage space to your account. You can buy more storage space, but usually the 'free' amount is plenty for most uses. If you need further instruction, message me at HF, and I can try to help you through the process.

If you use a cloud service, I haven't taken that step yet (suspicious of how 'all encompassing' companies like Google are ), that will probably be a better way to send large files through an email link than sending the file attached to an email This is how Haley's SMYM "Thank You Video" editor delivered 800MB files to the recipients that got them, through Google Drive, Googles Cloud system
(Since I don't use it, I can't help you with how it works, yet)

Also, since you want me to look at the video, instead of putting it up right away, don't feel pressure you have to get the files to me ASAP. Enjoy the show, tonight and all that comes with it. Enjoy yourself, I'm going to be at Casey's show tonight anyway, so can't do anything even if I get the files tonight.

Final Hint, something I found out the first time in Vegas to see Haley. At least last time I was there, the Sportsbook section of the Luxor (other Casino's? ) often has free wifi (for the sports gamblers). The Sportsbook Wifi at the Luxor was miles faster than the one I had from my room, which I paid an automatic service fee for. Back then, a file that took 2 hours from my room to upload, took 15 miutes at the sports book

Indeed! I also experience that. In addition, I have an anxiety about driving in areas I'm unfamiliar with. Guess what -- I'm doing both this evening. But I'm determined not to miss Casey's show, so I'm going to have to get a grip, I guess.

And that is why I created "Team HaleyFans", I'm not comfortable taking credit for other people's efforts so the solution was to have a credited name that also represents a 'communal effort', a contribution from Haley's fans.

I give the option of full credit and link to their account as a way to show to fans I'd like to post their videos on my YT that this is about showcasing Haley from one channel, a depot new and old fans can get their Haley fix, rather than taking the credit for myself. If the fan is not interested in getting credit (staying anonymous) , that's when "Team HaleyFans" comes in. Even when the project is something that is all from me, I think using "Team HaleyFans" is an appropriate 'credit' just because none of it happens w/o #Halien Support or Haley. I am, after all, part of "Team HaleyFans" too

When you are ready to send the files, use Haley Fans' PM system and we can go from there

We're excited to announce that Haley Reinhart will make her onstage PMJ debut tomorrow night in Vegas, at the Cosmopolitan Hotel!!

It was Haley's first show as a member of the ensemble. I guess she passed the audition.

A semi side-note as I was on a luxury bus at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago last night waiting for our short trip with all Illinois Park District conventioneers to the House of Blues Dinner & Concert, Patti called me on her cellphone from Vegas. She thought I called her but didn't realize that the message I left was from a few days ago, but we had a wonderful chat before her & Nikki were to leave for the Chandelier Bar. I told her that Iscat4Haley, airhigh & Swansteel will know what you look like Patti so you have some Halien friends there with you. She has my camera but I don't know how much video she was able to shoot. I suspect I'll have some behind the scenes video & photos that the Haliens wouldn't be able to get to add to the material for Tusk's assembly use once I pickup my camera from Patti. Of course I'll have to clear any publication allowance with Patti & Haley first.
