The arrangement is not anything like Haley's though. It's earthy, guitar driven and subtle.
Haley's (If it's anything like the concert version) was almost mythical and obviously piano driven given Scott.
On a side note, one of the most amazing things about Lennon songs (and The Beatles in general) was the ability to write songs that expanded tones and genres. I've heard gospel versions, acoustic versions, country versions and rock versions of "Let It Be" and each one sounds as genuine and "right" as the next. (Although I'm partial to the gospel version.)
Maybe I am just an old and jaded has been hippie, but I think the song is a bad choice. There was a time I actually thought the lyrics/message was something noble to aspire to. Now, I just find them silly and naive. I am more on the Steely Dan side of that song now, 'Only a Fool Would Say That'.
Ducking my head now, for all of the incoming I am about to take.

Silly and naive or not, its a classic! I would love to hear Haley's take in the video. But I am okay with any song she does of course.

Actually I'm pretty much onboard with that. I don't find the vision moving. But the melody is great and I love the feel of the song. It is a classic.
Perhaps one of the reasons it hasn't been on more singing shows has to do with the lyrics. In Season 10, Scotty won and Lauren came in second (not the core demographic for Imagine). I imagine producers at AI might have feared the lyrics would have been off putting to many viewers. The Voice is a bit edgier.
Regardless, I'm not convinced Imagine would bring the big view numbers for Haley and PMJ. If they do record the song I'd be happy to be proved wrong.
