Postmodern Jukebox, the YouTube sensation created by pianist and composer Scott Bradlee, has delivered yet another viral musical hit: a sultry jazz cover of the White Stripes‘ “Seven Nation Army.”

The YouTube page for Postmodern Jukebox, a rotating group of musicians headed up by Bradlee, describes this version of the 2003 hit, which also lives on as a favorite of soccer crowds, as a “vintage New Orleans dirge.” Frequent collaborator Haley Reinhart’s voice and vamping, along with a slow groove from the upright bass and the band members snapping their fingers in rhythm, help you feel like you could be in a smoky Jazz Age nightclub...

Currently on the itunes jazz chart PMJ has 38 of the top 100, 24 of the top 50, and 5 of the top 10, including #1 and #3.

Still easily my favorite of the PMJ/Haley collaborations (and that's saying something because Habits and Creep and Imagine and Oops and Lovefool and All About That Bass)

Like I said before, this is everything I love about Haley's voice wrapped up in one song. And the arrangement is perfection (hard to do on such an iconic song. )

It'll be interesting to see how this does compared to "Creep"..I think it's got potential to gain momentum at some point.

Also, I think the "repetitive" aspect comes from the riff. It's the central part of the song..but they played with it..so it's perfect.

Postmodern Jukebox is a group that covers modern songs with a classic feel. This is one of the best ones I've seen from them, but all of the songs are worth a listen.

Seriously...I cannot get enough of Haley Reinhart.
