RE: "SEVEN NATION ARMY" (White Stripes) covered by Haley on new PMJ album

Exactly, Himm. For a prime example of repetition one would have to look no further than Creep, and Creep has been pretty good for HR/PMJ!
Creep is a continuous loop of four chords: G...B...C...Cm. Anyone wanting to learn to play guitar and learn Creep as your first lesson, could be playing it by tomorrow! Mind you, just because you CAN kinda play it doesn't mean anyone will actually WANT to hear you play it. . . just yet . . . but at least you will know the song! Oh yeah, and don't be alarmed but your fingers will likely be bleeding profusely as you are simultaneously crying out in pain! But the world awaiteth your proficiency so "Carry on my wayward son (or daughter). . . . Don't you cry no more."
The engine to Seven Nation Army is even easier than that . . . built on 5 notes (with a bit of deviation) that the above-mentioned novice could figure out and memorize in 5 MINUTES!
The point being . . . there are thousands (millions???) of songs that could be called repetitious. Thankfully, many of those should be called brilliantly repetitious. I think Scott's slight and very temporary dilemma was how to turn into ragtime that driving pounding relentless riff that is not exactly ragtime friendly. I'd say from the Periscope stream yesterday he sounded pretty happy with the outcome!
You're right-Creep also can be considered repetitive in the sense that you showed.But,-unlike SNA- its never sounded repetitive to me.Its more dynamic-and its got those stops and tension and release and Scott's 50s/60s POP/R+B arrangement and rhythmic feel works perfectly. And the song just seems to flow better. Not to mention that Haley brought so much to the song it would be impossible for it to sound repetitive,

RE: "SEVEN NATION ARMY" (White Stripes) covered by Haley on new PMJ album
It's been a very enjoyable couple of days loving the SDN video and all the positive reactions. Since I mostly listen to Alternative music, Haley's PMJ covers of Creep and now SDN have been fantastic. Hard to match a great song + Haley's voice and interpretation. I do however agree with those that feel Creep may be difficult to eclipse because IMO it has a very emotional appeal, hence all the repeated views and related comments to a physical reaction; chills, shivers, etc. I think very, very few artists find a song that can make that connection.
Haley's growth during 2015 finding/showing/incorrporating her true growling, scatting style has been tremendous. I really hope this sound shows up in the EP - not a big fan of 'Better' (although I love the beginning) but am hopeful for the other songs.
I realized recently that one personal benny of her PMJ covers is that I can now can promote her to my friends as 'one of the PMJ stars' without any mention of the AI connection and side-eye looks from some.

Apparently it isn't traditional painting, he used photoshop

@HaleysTusk @HaleyReinhart Photoshop has way more uses than just photo manipulation - it's a legit painter too, and this all paint!

@HaleysTusk But Photoshop has undo! I used the same method on my A. Savalas pic as on this - here's a timelapse: https://vimeo.com/134477310

@HaleysTusk I love traditional art, but the cost of supplies and space (and cleanup!) is limiting. This I can do at my desk during lunch.
I think the difference is, he uses it as a painting tool, from scratch, as opposed to those who use Photoshop's filters to simulate whatever painter's medium they're trying to achieve
