I posted this as a Cream cover....
Quote:"Sunshine of Your Love" is a 1967 song by the British rock band Cream. With elements of hard rock, psychedelia, and pop, it is one of Cream's best-known and most popular songs. Cream bassist and vocalist Jack Bruce based it on a distinctive bass riff or repeated musical phrase he developed after attending a Jimi Hendrix concert. Guitarist Eric Clapton and lyricist Pete Brown later contributed to the song. Recording engineer Tom Dowd suggested the rhythm arrangement in which drummer Ginger Baker plays a distinctive tom-tom drum rhythm, although Baker has claimed it was his idea.
BUT I'd noticed a couple posts on this video on my channel...

Very good, nearly as good as Spanky Wilson's version on which this is based.

Drinkarsefeck The recording quality of Spanky Wilson's version is definitely better. However, as usual, Haley does it for me. She adds more, her improvising ability and changes of tone. The backing seems freer here than on the SW version, and I particularly like the trumpet. However, I did enjoy SW as well.
Spanky Wilson's cover
Cream's original
So....If you read my HOTM interview, one of the things I marveled at was Haley's depth of knowledge about music of past era's...... Their's is definitely 'Spanky's' interpretation of the Cream Song.
I think it's probably appropriate to say that we can extend this 'knowledge of music beyond their age' to her musical compatriots....I would not be surprised Haley came up w/ covering this song, and Casey or Jacob came up w/ this interpretation (Jacob has a very good knowledge of music as well. At the SMYM video shoot, I talked to He and Casey about maybe they could play Jazz Alley in Seattle. Casey had never heard of it, it was Jacob who explained that it's a pretty historic Jazz venue and started listing the Jazz 'greats' who had performed there...
So fun following such talented, musically educated (and musically inspired) group of young, wonderful musicians

Thanks for reworking and posting this one - one of my favorites from the early days!

You're welcome... This has also been a 'hidden treasure' for me, once they start vocally riffing, the harmonies, just beautiful, I knew I eventually had to do it 'justice' with Better audio. It's not as popular as the Paris PMJ songs, but currently doing really well, above average...plus I think the song might be in line w/ the music she's dreaming up for HR3
I've been itching to do this for a while, the original posts used the audio from the camera that was situated on the second floor, far away, so it had a lot of ambient crowd chatter, plus I never really did anything w/ the audio, just posted it as is...this is audio from in front of the stage (plus some augmentation), my video was messed up from the stage lights, unusable, so this audio hasn't been heard before...it's much better, you can hear her voice more clearly:
