Sound Affects: 'Idol' wannabe still wants fans to 'Listen Up'

"American Idol" may have just wrapped its 11th season, but a familiar face from last year's competition will be here Sunday, May 27, with a new CD. Third-place finisher Haley Reinhart, probably best remembered for her ferocious "Bennie and the Jets," will perform at 2 p.m. at Mall of America's Rotunda. She'll also sign copies of her debut album, "Listen Up," which hit stores this week.

Yes, this Sunday at the Mall of America. I'm only 10 minutes from there. 9 am Best Buy purchase of CD and get signing bracelet, 2 pm mini-concert in Rotunda. I'll go early, leave and then comeback for the concert. That's assuming the signing line is after the concert.

I live near L.A. and have been disappointed that they haven't played Free, ESPECIALLY since L.A.'s biggest radio station (KIIS FM) in which Ryan Seacrest is a DJ every morning, you would THINK that they would have aired her by now!

On HAC Mediabase, Free is leveling off at #32. Spin totals still in the mid-400s, but the increase is leveling off. Some hard chargers coming up fast (Usher, Morissette and maybe Kris Allen) will likely overtake her next week, but a couple going recurrent above her should balance that off. It looks like she'll remain in a holding pattern in the low 30s for awhile.

I know! And you know how there's all those websites showing you how to request songs..Haven't seen any for LA stations. You would think with the ties between Seacrest, the radio and American Idol, they would at least play her single especialy now that the albums out.
