Wow!!! Thanks for this news...and thank you Yanni5 for your input! My daughter LOVES Southwest and travels on the airline as much as she possibly can. This event happened 1 1/2 weeks ago, and shocked her. It may well be that the Refunds dept. address was only recently put up there in light of the fact that so many have complained about this. It wasn't a special ticket...just standard, and she's done this countless times in the past. I'll inform her right away! Really appreciate this! Oh...one more thing. The person she was speaking with said that this policy has been in effect since 11 months ago. Yet you, Yanni5 had no problem just recently. (scratching my head!). Anyway...will let her know right away.
