RE: Residual negativity from fans of other idols
Even under amiable circumstances you can’t please everybody. However there are people that just like to be contentious no matter what. I’m glad that Haley’s fans defend her at these other sites. They are not worth thinking about for me. I like Miguel’s site because everybody here is good natured and gives out positive energy which is exactly what Haley does through her music, performances and charity work.
As already been said, the negativity of Haley is based on premises that can’t be defended.
Haley’s music is described by the industry as a multiple of genres - blues, soul, jazz, rock, pop, funk, reggae, disco, etc. Haley’s sound is compared by the industry to Adele, Amy Winehouse, Grace Potter, Grace Slick, Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Doris Day, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, etc and for me Natalie Cole.
If the above are the same, then night/day, hot/cold and wet/dry is exactly the same.
I agree with Ellen and Miguel, I am mesmerized by Haley’s voice and the raw emotion she puts into each of her songs. I don’t need her to move around or dance around the stage to reinforce this fact. Can Haley improve her stage presence? Of course she can, she is only 22 and just starting out and she will. Her growth during AI season 10 was incredible.
