Greetings from deep in Haley Land. What a great time who needs drugs when you can get such a natural high. Wheeling Illinois is such a beautiful little town snuggled close to Chicago, with lots of trees, open space, beautiful flower beds and water fountains everywhere. The water park where Haley used to work is absolutely gorgeous with water slides a large wading area and of course a large area for serious swimming. No wonder Haley loves Wheeling so much. Of course we had to drive past the High School and take a few pics, as well as the water park.
The people from Wheeling we met are amazingly gracious and friendly, Babbs, Penny Lane, Sue who was Haley's Junior High teacher and of course Lisa, so cute and quiet. Then there is Himm and Sherrie, enough cannot be said about them, how they opened up their home for three days and embraced all of us crazy Haliens, having it so organized, went way beyond the pale. These Haliens from Wheeling graciously accepted all outsiders and made us feel comfortable and at home. It was good to see Pat, Tusk and Ken again and a pleasure to meet Buzz. Thanks to all for such a great weekend.
Well it looks like it is time for the adventures of Guy & Buddy at a Haley concert. Of course we had to get there early and suffer long hours in the hot sun. Soulified the warm up band was great but they only hasten the anticipation of Haley and Midnight taking the stage. The wait was well worth it when Haley steps on stage you feel the presence of greatness. The first time I watched Haley sing was in Portland there were five other good bands including Dia Frampton, who finished second place on the voice and Andy Grammer who climbs the charts on a regular basis. It was right after Idol and I was a little worried that she might not hold her own. She stepped on stage, the last performer before Andy, and stole the show that night. That’s Haley and she has come so far and improved so much since then. There has been some concern on line about her voice holding up, it's amazing how it just keeps getting stronger.
The show lasted an hour and a half and it was over way too soon. Of course we all waited for Haley to come out, say hi , get an autograph and take a picture. She is always so gracious with every one giving a hug and a smile. Several times during the concert she stopped and talked about all the love she felt and how good it was to be there with every one. She would say this is how it should be everyone together in love. As we came to our place in line Haley would say hi himm, hi tusk, hi buzz, hi Penny, hi Pat; when it was ISCAT4HALEY's turn it was hi guy and at my turn it was hi buddy. She recognizes us but not on a first name basis. We are thinking about writing a screen play about the perils of two geriatrics who drive around the country trying to get the attention of an up and coming young and beautiful diva. Stay tuned when it hits the theater it will be a block buster he he.

I need to say a few things about Patti. She remembered us from the time we spend with her in Vegas, as soon as she saw us she waved us over to the security fence, took us by our hands and talked to us for about five minutes. Harry and Angie, though we had never met, were just as friendly and gracious. The Reinhart family is amazing enough accolades can't be given. As a post script ISCAT had to have Surf & Turf at Bob Chinn's Crab House, Haley's fav, and we took a snap shot of Haley's picture on the wall of fame. All and All it was a great time. Thanks again to everyone. Until next time. Oh we have said it before and we will say it again, if you ever get a chance to see Haley live, go for it.
Airhigh and ISCAT.
