RE: Haley appeared with Jeff Goldblum tonight (5/18/18) in a recorded performance

I do too. If the TV show is picked up, I hope she becomes a regular or semi-regular. I think though it might be pitched as "Live from Daryl's House, but with Jazz and an audience."
He's a charmer.
GQ article from last year consisting of quotes about him and some of his responses.

Quote:Sarah Silverman (‘The Larry Sanders Show,’ season six, 1998; ‘The League,’ season three, 2011): He’s with [his wife] Emilie now, and they’ve been so madly in love for so long, but he does love women. He taught acting for a long time, and I remember I used to make fun of him and say, “You just teach acting so you can be around 19-year-old starry-eyed girls.” He was like, “Of course.”

Quote:Jeff Goldblum: Aerosmith was the band the first time that I hosted Saturday Night Live, in 1993, around Jurassic Park. I showed off my piano to the band, and Steven Tyler took me to Peter Luger for a big greasy steak. I like to stick to the lean cuts these days, but I don’t think they had that there. And about a year later, we were doing Nine Months, and Tom Arnold said, “I’m going on this helicopter to see Aerosmith.”
Tom Arnold (‘Nine Months,’ 1995): We went to see Aerosmith with Hugh Grant, because we were all filming together. And I knew Steve Tyler and Joe Perry, so I was showing off a little bit—we went backstage. I saw Jeff talking to the keyboard guy, asking about his equipment, and I thought, That’s cute. And the concert was going on, and Hugh came up and he goes, “Where’s Goldblum?” And I said, “I don’t know. Fuck him.”
Jeff Goldblum: Steven said, “So, Jeff, are you going to come play with us or what?” “Really?” “Really.” And the piano player whispered, “Here, the chords go like this: C, A, go back to B, and then go back to…”
Arnold: Jeff was onstage. I go, “Is that him? What is he doing?” But he was jamming with Aerosmith. And he didn’t tell us! I would have made an announcement. Like, I’d laid three years of groundwork with Steve Tyler and Joe Perry, sucking up to them, and in two minutes, he’s onstage.

Quote:Munn: Jeff plays in a band every week out in L.A.—anybody in the world can go see him. He’s lived his life in a way where he hasn’t sheltered himself, and I think a big reason why he’s so charismatic is because he’s so in touch and in tune with himself and the world and people.
Allen: The next time I saw or spoke a word to him was 39 years [after Annie Hall], when he sat in to play jazz with our group at the Carlyle Hotel.
Jeff Goldblum: The banjo player said, “Woody, look who’s here.” Woody goes, “Hi, Jeff. Would you like to come up?” I was nervous, but just thrilled. He said, “Oh, it’s lovely to see you. Thanks for coming.” And I quoted a line from one of my favorite movies of his, Love and Death. I said, “No, it’s a greater honor for me.” And he seemed not to register, or if he did, not to appreciate. I played a couple of the songs, and I saw him look at me and [make a face that indicated]: “Very good.”
Allen: He was a very good piano player.

Quote:Ed Begley Jr. (‘Pittsburgh,’ 2006; neighbor, late ’70s): Jeff is the mayor of Hollywood.
