Another bit of the Beatles' legend passes away:

India sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar dies

Quote:Ravi Shankar, the sitar virtuoso who became a hippie musical icon of the 1960s after hobnobbing with the Beatles and who introduced traditional Indian ragas to Western audiences over an eight-decade career, has died. He was 92.
Also the Father of Norah Jones

^ Funny you should post this Tusk at the exact moment that Harry & Patti Reinhart went to see Fab Faux, the amazing Beatle tribute by Will Lee from Letterman, and top studio musicians from NY. They were in musical heaven as they treated the material with such reverence and detail. They did the entire Magical Mystery Tour among many many more. It was at the Vic over by Wrigley, so they had dinner with old friends and went to the show. Haley would have loved this of course, but they called her and gave her a taste of a couple tunes.

In my "If I ever win the lottery/Halien Party" scenario, this is the Beatles I would ask Haley to perform....
"Golden Slumbers/Carry that Weight/The End"
