Randy Travis has a hard night

Randy Travis threatened to shoot and kill the troopers who arrested him for drunk driving last night ... this according to the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.

The GCSO tells us ... officers received a call at 11:18 PM from a person who stated there was a man lying in the roadway. When cops arrived to the scene, they noticed Travis' 1998 Pontiac Trans Am had driven off the road and slammed into several barricades in a construction zone.

Travis was initially arrested for DWI -- but once he was inside the cop car, officials say the singer threatened to "shoot and kill the Troopers working the case."

As we previously reported, Travis was NAKED ... and rode bareback while he was being transported to the station.

I guess he "tried to buy" cigarettes and then remembered he didn't have his wallet.

On Feb. 7, a Sanger officer noticed a car in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church with a man (RT) passed out at the wheel. He smelled strongly of alcohol and there was a wine bottle in the front seat of the Trans Am..

Randy clearly has an alcohol problem and is coming "Undone" after losing his anchor:

Travis was divorced from Elizabeth Travis in 2010 after 19 years of marriage.

Earlier this year, Elizabeth Travis, who had been his manager for more than three decades, filed a lawsuit claiming that Randy Travis made it impossible for her to do her job and terminated her management contract without proper notice.

Well, yes, it would seem the poor man has come "undone" (although, I suspect, not because of Haley Reinhart or her song). Given all the press this has gotten, the outcome will be interesting.
