In retrospect, I probably could have been closer, but that would have meant alot more people walking in front and no opportunity to sit down. The hill gave me elevation and there were steps next to me which I eventually used to sit and steady the camera.
Holding a camera up for more than 35 minutes is harder than it seems. That's why at the end of HOTRS the camera is jostling from me standing up.
Could have been better video (low detail because I zoomed so far), but few shots of people walking in front and I'm happy with what I got.

Haley stopped tweeting after that.

@HaleyReinhart I like how you just randomly disappear from twitter but we still love you and it's ok because you're u
Haley's done this before. She makes a few tweets, waking her fan base up. They then seek to engage her only to find she's seemingly wondered off without saying goodbye. I know she's a busy girl, but she should demonstrate a bit of a commitment and etiquette. Set aside a block of time and say goodbye when it's up.

Today, I spoke with a co-worker who'd just returned from a vacation in Chicago. He'd attended law school at the University of Chicago, lived in Chi-town for 8 years, and was back visiting friends he hadn't seen for a long time. He didn't go to Lolla, but did happen to see the evacuation, and thought the storm was "cool." But, he wasn't dealing with the "mud."

Set aside a block of time and say goodbye when it's up. Since when is it a requirement for a recording artist to Tweet? I don't remember hearing about Haley signing a contract or verbally agreeing to spend time in that arena. Tweet etiquette is for tweeters, which Haley has never partaken much of, save what's been demanded. I'm her fan because of her gift of song and potential stardom in that arena, not because of outwardly imposed expectations to perform in some other area that she has little to no interest in.
