James just held a little twitter party and in which he revealed:

His favorite songs he's recorded: Children Under the Sun, Celebrate, You Can't Believe and Parachute (the lead single).

The sound of the album: Psychedelic Alternative Pop Rock.

And that "new music" will be out this year but I'm not sure if he's referring to the single only or both the single and the album. My guess is that Wind-up is gonna go for another Black Friday release.

James took over Rhapsody's twitter account for an hour yesterday and answered many questions from fans. Here's a recap compiled quoted from an FB doc that was compiled by a fan:

About the new album:

- Before he’s done with the twitter party, he said, “Updates on new music coming soon!! “

- When asked about the updated timetable for a release date for the single and album, he said next year, but also said there'd be new music this year.

- James changed a few lines to You're Not Alone? Did you guys catch that? I didn't.

- He said hopefully Santa Cruz will go onto the bonus track.

- He did not record a new version of Crawling Home, so it probably will not be on the new album.

- When asked what positive things he has learned from this album experience that is different from the last? He said he learned from Scott Stevens, and this time around they really took their time writing and recording. He didn’t get to write or be involved with production before.

- The album hasn't been titled yet, but he has a great idea for it that a lot of people are into.

- He favorited the tweet that asked, "Do you hope to pull in younger male fans with this next album?"

- When asked if he will be contributing to the cover for the next album with art of his own, he said in some aspects, yes.

- Said he will be touring very soon. But when I asked him how long will he be staying home until traveling again, he said he's not sure yet, and not thinking about that yet.

About promotion and merch:

- He said there will be some great ways for fans to get involved in the new album and its promotion, "INCLUDING POSSIBLY HELPING PROMOTE A NEW SONG FROM THE RECORD THIS YEAR!! " <- his words, not mine.

- When asked, "Would you consider lending your music to be used in a movie or credits to reach a bigger audience?", he said, "Absolutely!! #comingtoatheaternearyou".

- “I'm sure new merch will be out with or following the album? Will you be designing it again? We hope so!!” He said, “I always have a hand in everything I put out. Id never give my fans something thats not organically me”.

- There will be a JD Calendar for 2014.

- Possibly adding jewelry to the merch.

About the band:

- Justin is still with the band, apparently.

- He is choosing the band members personally.

- When asked, “Will the new band have keyboards?” He answered, “Looking into it ”.
