Well he can always rock it harder live. He did try to throw in some wails and there's a mini guitar solo, a nice one too. I like that he included his falsetto, he's got one of the most beautiful falsettos I've ever heard.

It's not metal but it actually wouldn't be out of place at alt. rock radio today. Popular bands like Bastille, Capital Cities and The Neighbourhood sound just as "poppy" if not more so.

What the sound of this song really reminds me of is that of the late 90s/early 00s ska alt. bands like Sugar Ray, Crazy Town and Sublime.

It's way better than his last HAC single and I also think it's better than Daughtry's new single. And James sure can write some catchy hooks.

Not digging the image (maybe they could have airbrushed the neck some?). I agree with the comments at MJ's that say the photo combined with the title creates a Contemporary Christian feel. Someone said "Celebrate" is a psychedelic song on the album, but the cover doesn't convey that notion. Look how staid the font is.

I think this shot that was posted would make a better cover:



The counter to that was you can't tell it's James. My counter to that is to someone who doesn't know who James is, that doesn't matter. The image with the mural in the background is more iconic and attention-getting. It seems to promise originality. Even if you were to put the same title with the same font at the top.

I dunno James chose the cover so I guess he likes it. I think it's ok but I don't really buy cds anymore so album covers make no difference to me personally.
