Hi everyone. I am sticking my head out of my lurker shell. I’ve been visiting this site constantly for over a year. I’m an introvert, can’t type, not very tech savvy and can’t spell. Other than that I am pretty good social networking material. One thing I do have in common with you guys is my love for Haley’s musicality. As you’ve said she is a one of a kind talent merging the old style of music with the new while incorporating a multitude of genres, jazz being the best to me. The reason I am posting in this topic is because I came in second place for the Stageit prizes.

I know you like to share your experiences you’ve had with Haley. And I am extremely indebted to you for that. I really admire the way this site and you have contributed to promoting Haley, almost as much as I admire Haley. I am not as creative and don’t have much to say other than what has been said on this site already. I am late but better late than never, I want to thank you. I thought about listing names but the list is long and I know I would leave somebody out. But I want to thank Miguel for creating this site which allows her fans to express their feelings for Haley and lurkers like me to visit.

I truly am impressed with the way her Haliens have various talents that together allow us to support and follow her such as video taping her concerts and uploading them for all of us to enjoy, computer skills i.e. being able to sync audio and video from different sources, somehow finding all that invaluable information about her on the internet, being able to find her location from just a picture, her intimate Chicago contacts with her family and most of all you’re detailed experiences with meeting Haley and witnessing her loveliness, some of you multiple times. I’m extremely jealous and grateful at the same time. One day I hope to meet Haley.

Sorry for the long intro, trying to put a year’s thoughts into one post. I will make a follow-up post on the Stageit prize.

Here you go Babbs, you sure have a good memory. When swansteel put the pictures of his prize on twitter for all of her fans to see, I felt compelled to do the same, not to boast because most of you have met her and have done far more for her than I ever will, but to share her sweetness and charm. I sent an email to Chiara with my address asking her to ask Haley to write the lyrics not of my favorite song but the song that means the most to Haley in terms of writing and performing it.

Haley chose “Walking On Heaven”. I’m not sure if that song really means the most to her because I did list 5 songs that I said were my favorites and “Walking on Heaven” was one of them. She probably was being very nice and included her favorite of the five I put down. I’m sure all of her songs mean a lot to her. Haley is so cute, she integrated little drawings into the words. It amazes me that even her penmanship is artistic. She also sent me an autographed Deluxe “Listen UP!” CD like swansteel and a personal letter.

She said she is grateful to have fans like me to support her which all of you are. I’m glad swansteel received the top prize because he deserves it. As Haley said he is a longtime fan, has met her and has been there for her from the beginning which most of you have too. I didn’t realize the gem that Haley is until about midway through the show. I’m sorry, I’m slow. I think he was involved in the early blog sites and he tweets about her and supports her a lot which again you guys also do on this site.

The best comment Haley made was that there will be many more songs to come. Not to be surprised, Haley didn’t just throw these prizes together, she put a lot of thought into them. I will try to post pictures of my prize and I need your help to do this. How do I do it? The pics may be too large in size. I don’t know.
