We've got some exciting news for you! We just found out that Haley Reinhart, signer and former American Idol finalist, is shooting a video in support of the RASopathies Foundation! Thank you Haley! Dear Haley,

As an alumnus of Wheeling High School, a fan, and a mom that is trying to help sick children (through the RASopathies Foundation), I ask you to read this letter about an idea of a homecoming video competition that will not only raise awareness of yourself, and WHS, but of a new non-profit that is helping sick children (these children have a syndrome more common than Down syndrome...

...The video will incorporate two themes - Happy Homecoming/school spirit and the idea of a helping sick children to have a “Happy Homecoming” of their own by getting well and coming home from the hospital. We got this idea after viewing Naperville North High School’s school spirit video, which received 129,000+ hits on YouTube (you can view it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5J-z7qX56lA). This video competition will feature 10 high schools in the Chicagoland area and will hopefully be judged by celebrities!

We feel that this is a fun and fantastic opportunity to teach students about “giving back” to their communities, while also promoting our wonderful schools and kids! Nothing like this has been done before, but we know that with your help, we can make this a smash hit and draw media attention. If you are willing to participate, we would need a few hours of your time and for you to come out to WHS to sing in this video. If we were to receive media attention, we would love it if you would also be our main spokesperson on TV, radio, etc.
