What do you guys think of Haley teaming up with Casey as duo or fronting a jazz band like Pink Martini instead of continuing solo? I think that actually might be better, not everyone has to be a solo artist.

As much as I appreciate all that Casey provides I see that as being a restricted career move for Haley. Casey would be like Sonny Bono (subservient), and Haley would be like Cher (needing to call the shots). I believe the purity of Haley's voice needs to be uninterupted except maybe in a couple scripted duets to get the true essence of the song. And I don't see how Casey would be satisfied if he only played instruments for her or only had a minor role.

I'm a fan of both but their careers have just begun. With the contacts and impressions they have made, individually, it would be a shame to not explore their individual potentials.

I think there's an unrequited emotional component to their relationship as well, and a lengthy commitment to produce an album, then tour to support it together, might complicate things going forward.

Casey seems to be enjoying his mini Odyssey of musical self awareness as he tours and Haley is establishing herself to be the performer she wants to be. To 'join forces' at this point in their careers would be a step back in their progression IMO and a shame as I'd like to see what they are both capable of on their own.

I could be way off base, I just think putting themselves out as a duo would only increase their overall appeal slightly (Many Haley fans are Casey fans and vice versa...they share many fans already), mainly because, the culprit as to why they aren't as popular as their talents indicate they should be , is simply, that their genre.... mainly old school jazz and blues (with a sprinkling of classic rock), is not a large market and won't earn them the same potential windfall that going into Pop or Country would.

Don't know if this means anything but Lisa Davis, Music Executive & A&R director for Atlantic Records and Interscope just followed Haley.

I can't help but think some other label will sign her. She has made a lot of contacts over the past year, with Interscope, BMI, Ole ( who have her back). She has turned a lot of heads and made impressions on many in the industry.

Oh my! I take a couple of days off from message boards and twitter and all heck breaks loose! Haley will be fine. Interscope will be sorry someday. I, for one, was never that happy with the lack of promotion she got from Interscope. Their loss. Again, Haley will be fine. Bigger and better things await her. With her talent the only way she can go is UP! Looking forward to what she gifts us with musically, now that she doesn't have the weight of Interscopes "Pop machine" holding her down. LONG LIVE QUEEN HALEY!!!

A stretch but my first thought when I saw the news was - maybe Haley already had something better lined up....
