Finally checked in. Thinking about what Harry sent while on the flight, I was thinking this might be an assumption on my part. What he said didn't necessarily imply no repeats, but there's a good chance she won't.... from what I can interpret from his email.

Still....8 hours 'til showtime

(I saw Keith said he was leaving on an 8:30 flight...I had half a mind to stay at the airport to catch them arriving....good thing I didn't if it's true that Haley and Chiara are driving....BTW that's a dangerous drive from Cali to LV...hope they are careful.)

Now to catch some zzzz's so I can make it to the Cosmo nice and early.

I-15 is a long straight boring drive Its worse comming back. All the pissed off people that lost in Vegas and the hungovers are halling ass to get back to LA.

If I recall correctly, it's only a two lane road, so if there are any accidents at all, both lanes are screwed...also, head on collisions are possible because of people aggresively passing (barely missed being in one myself when we road tripped it years ago :p ).

If I recall correctly, it's only a two lane road, so if there are any accidents at all, both lanes are screwed...also, head on collisions are possible because of people aggresively passing (barely missed being in one myself when we road tripped it years ago :p ).

Still got the adrenaline from getting out of the airport and checking in to work off (also had to move to another room, there was construction, sawing and hammering, going on right next door ), as tired as I am, I can't go to sleep if my mind wont let me (an overthinker's classic problem)

....also have to check to make sure my batteries are charged...not sure if I have enough memory for the camera.... potentially almost two hours worth of video might test it's capacity. I have 16, 8 and 4 gigs of memory cards, so hopefully that's enough

Construction next door? Wonderful. Unfortunately, I can relate altogether too well with your inability to shut your mind off.

That said, while you go through the physical and mental checklists, remember to breathe periodically.

That's the Pearblossom highway, the most common route from LA to Vegas. There are so many fatalities on that stretch that it is know as Deathtrap Highway. Don't know if it still is, but it used to be one lane each direction, and as Tusk mentioned, many head on collisions from people trying to unsafely pass other vehicles.
