RE: Haley in Las Vegas - December 6th, 7th, 8th
Yup. She's a bluesy rock singer, but at 17 they forced her to sing pop. Although her debut is actually pretty decent for an idol alum. It just wasn't her. (At least Haley got that.) She got barely any promotion, and only got a tour because Adam Lambert put her on tour with him. They dropped her about 8 months after they signed her.
All that would be okay. But the issue that many Allison fans have, is despite being one of the most talented people to ever grace the idol stage. She hasn't gotten signed again, or done much of anything. (Although Haley, at least recently has gotten herself busy.)
I just don't want Haley to get Degarmo'd or Iraheta'd. (Degarmo was worse though. She was signed because the label didn't want her competing. They had no intentions of doing anything with her. However, she's had a pretty good career elsewhere..on broadway, acting..and now she's into country. She's doing better than Allison, at least. But I think she was always more focused than Allison.)

Well yeah kind of, I was more trying to imply something along the lines of:

Tweeted a minute ago by Haley's lawyer. Related? I don't know.
EDIT: (not necessarily about a new label, just the emphasis that both happened the same day...)

I'm a fan of Allisons. I check the internet occasionally to see what she is doing musically. It's only a few appearances and no new album release. She does not seem to have an aggressive manager or strong business capabilities herself as is understandable at her young age. A problem with 16 and 17 year olds on AI is that unless they get strong management support how do they continue on their own? After selling about 100,000 copies of her first album and a tour with Adam Lambert not much has happened. She talked about writing songs a year or more ago but there has not been a new album. Maybe she does not want to tour or record for personal reasons. She has the talent and I wish her future success with touring and recording if that is what she wants. I would certainly like to hear a new album by her.

Thanks for that link. She's sounding good. She doesn't have a new album and she's not touring but she is showing up and performing at special events. Most recently this November in Cancun.
