RE: Two Haley songs cleared to sing on American Idol

yeah.. damn I wish the upbeat Rachel didn't make that one reach higher and kinda miss the note and make it look like dreams are unattainable instead of attainable.
Thats what I've liked so much about rachel that kinda mirrors what I like in Haley... sad songs are still always about possibilities (like haley's "rolling in the deep was about what COULD be, but didn't quite work that time .. not about what Wasn't and should of been if you didnt mess up.. pissy-wissy Adele (actually some of adeles songs are positive)
I just like an attitude that everyone can damn well own the ground they walk on and sucess isn't about if you're better than others but if you dream and if you hold on to your dreams despite whats thrown at you .
(lol ok i'm getting philosophical again.. but I swear, that's the attitude I hear in every Haley song ... play her drum and march confidently to it through thick or thin.. reach for the things you desire etc.)

Miguel - It should keep climbing for a while longer too. I THINK it's based on the # of sales in the last 24 hrs period (but I'm not sure about the time period - it could actually be in the past week) so as long as it's outperforming what it sold the day before, it should keep climbing.

^Ya know, Babbs, there is just something about Haley's tone and delivery that speaks to me. I have never gone for the big voiced diva types (Mariah, Celine, etc) and much prefer a unique personal style and delivery (Basia, Eva Cassidy, Maria McKee, etc). Even in those early Idol days when this video was done Haley ran me over like a freight train. Absolutely no one I saw on this year's show has come close to doing that to me (well, maybe Maddie, but she is gone now [phooey!]).

Angela Miller does have a good voice from this season of AI. She's confident, pretty, a songwriter, and plays piano. And seems to be one of the front runners. We'll have to see where this goes... I like Candice Glover too, but not in the song she sang tonight.
But I agree with you, no one is like Haley! I was completely all on board after seeing her sing "Baby It's You" in Hollywood! Hard to believe it's been 2 years already.
