Will you continue growling on future songs?

For my new music, I will let things get grittier. I definitely want to explore a softer side as well, but I’ll keep it all very sultry.

You released an album, then got dropped from Interscope Records. What’s next for you?

This is a chance for me to explore my options and...find the very best place where I fit in. I’m working on an EP right now. I’m going to be meeting a lot of labels and seeing where the next home is for me.

I already have 10 new songs written, so it won’t take so long (to release something).

Wow. Ten songs is impressive! Things are really coming together. Hope it won't be much longer before her new music is released. Can't wait to hear the new songs.

I'm glad that she has a clear plan in place. Hopefully she'll find a label who will promote her and a management company who will send her out on tour.

Oh, and Haley wanting to explore her softer side, but in a sultry way? I'm down with that. Not all slow songs are break up ballads. They can also be sexy slow jams.(Which I think she'd be really good at.)At least I think that's what she meant. lol Either way. I'm excited to hear the results of her "softer side".

The soulful songbird announced that she has begun writing songs for a new EP. “I’m currently getting a group of songs together so I can start shopping for labels.

Right now, I just want to see what the right fit is for me and whether it is with a major or independent label. Nothing’s set in stone yet.

“Whatever I do will always have soul, rock and jazz. This is what I have grown up with and what I do best,” she said

"I have my dad (Harry Reinhart from the band, Midnight) on board for four tracks, so far. I would love him to play all the guitars on the next record as I want it to have a definite classic rock n’ roll sound."

“Whatever I do will be sultry, has rock in it and some jazz. It’ll reflect what I’ve grown up with,” she says, adding that she wants creative control over her recording work and to be understood as an artiste because “ultimately it’s my career”.

...She says, with a grin, that her next album will be targeted “at the boys out there who do the stupids things they do”.

“My fans are hounding me for a jazz album. When Casey and I did Moaning, people responded really well. I had young children on Twitter, saying they’d never listened to jazz but that now they’d look into it. Jazz is a comfortable thing with me... I think I can do it later on. Right now, I’m focused on rock and pop, and see where it’ll take me.”

Very true MAE. As a youth decades ago, we had one stereo in the house, and my dad had full control of it. All he would listen to was jazz, all different types. I hated jazz back then, mostly because I couldn't listen to my rock and roll. But because of that exposure, I grew to really appreciate and love jazz, and I'm grateful for that early exposure that I had. I hope Haley doesn't stray too far from her jazzy side in her new stuff.
