It’s hard to believe that it was 15 months ago that singer, songwriter and recording artist Haley Reinhart, who has just returned from five days of songwriting collaboration at the 2013 ole Eurocamp in Greece, became a member of the ole family. Since that time, she has released a critically-acclaimed debut album, Listen Up! and toured extensively, including a memorable appearance at Lollapalooza in her hometown of Chicago and a more recent jaunt to Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, where she was a musical guest on X Factor Indonesia.
On the sync front, a number of songs from her debut album, including “Oh My!” “Undone” and “Hit The Ground Running,” have been heard in episodes of ABC’s “Rookie Blue” and the hit motion picture, “Step Up Revolution.” In keeping with ole’s pro-active approach in seeking out exciting new opportunities in the film, TV and ad world for their writers, in August of last year, Reinhart accompanied L.A.- based Creative Director Chad Richardson and Senior Director, Synchronization and Licensing Debra Delshad to Chicago to meet with, and privately perform for, some of the country’s top ad agencies including Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and Walton Isaacson.
“I love working with ole!” says Reinhart, who is still in withdrawal mode from her recent trip to the ole Greek Eurocamp held in the idyllic setting of the island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea. “This team really gets their artists. They are so invested in me and I'm very thankful to be a part of such a passionate, hard working and fun loving company! This past trip to Greece really was life changing. They knew how to team people together perfectly and it brought the best out in everyone! I'm proud of our accomplishments together so far and even more ecstatic to see our future success!”
Reinhart says that writing is definitely a priority at the moment, but it shares time with a travel schedule that allows her to perform and make personal appearances at events to promote her debut album, Listen Up!, American Idol, and her future endeavors. As far as her approach to writing these days, she says she likes to keep an open mind. “Although the production has really differed lately, since I'm working with so many producers, I think it's only right to explore each creative experience to the fullest. I don't believe in boxing myself into any one genre. Coming from a very diverse musical background, I try not to premeditate my direction too much because I know the soul remains the same!
“It's important that I continue to write music that people can relate to and feel empowered and genuinely moved by. Along with that, I feel this time around I'll be channeling a very raw, passionate, and all around confident side. No matter which tunes make the next album, they will be sultry, poppy, retro-fresh, and heartfelt.”
Reinhart is looking to the future with a great deal of enthusiasm. “It's a new and exciting chapter for me. I'm diving into my next project: new album, new branding, and potentially a new label... whatever feels right. So, keep a look out!”

I think this album is going to reflect a confident 22-yr-old girl that likes to have fun. Some of the songs are going to be playful and more modern than some of her older fans may like. They will be songs young people will dance to at clubs. They will still stand out though because of her voice and craftsmanship.
If one of these songs becomes a hit, it will broaden her appeal to more people in their twenties.
This is the second time we've heard Haley refer to branding. She's clearly been discussing with her advisers how best to position herself. If my assumptions are correct, I don't blame her for going this route. It's true to her. She wants to see people literally moved by her music. Think how many times she's invited people to dance if they feel like it. And we know she sometimes frequent clubs that are dance-oriented with friends.

Quote:I hope the best and in the future she will sing the blues and classic stuff IMO Still love Hales
Well, "sultry, poppy, retro-fresh, and heartfelt” doesn't sound bad.
Haley's going to make interesting music. Some of it will be of the moment and some of it will be timeless. A lot of today's classics were once a reflection of their moment in time.

Alex Wilhelm, Crazed Hits Blogger, Named Warner Bros. Director Of A&R
Quote:Scouring the Internet for music for 16 hours per day, Wilhelm began tracking Katy Perry two years before she signed to Capitol Records in 2007, and discovered OneRepublic a full year before Timbaland brought them to Interscope the same year.
"Seeing them get big made me want to create a platform for artists to get exposed," he said. "I didn't really have a grand goal. I was just a kid trying to expose good unsigned and unpublished music."
With that in mind, he launched Crazed Hits on February 2, 2008, posting songs and artists that he found through Myspace and in the depths of the Internet. In its first month, he came across a young songwriter named BC Jean, whom he featured on his site. "I said to her, 'send me all the songs that you have,'" he said. "She sent me 10 songs, and song number six was a song titled 'If I Were A Boy,' and I was like, this is a smash hit. So I posted that song, and a couple months later Beyonce recorded it." The next year Jean signed to Clive Davis' J Records.
Quote: "Coming to the U.S. from Ireland, I understand the level of commitment and self-belief it requires to make an impact in the American music industry," said Universal Music Publishing Group VP of A&R Declan Morrell. "Alex has a pure and unbiased ear for great music and a talent for finding it before anyone else. He somehow created an A&R site that quickly developed into a feeding station for the entire US A&R community."
By 2010, Wilhelm was wading through 100 pitches per day, regularly communicating with A&R heavyweights such as Mercury's David Massey, and then-Elektra chiefs Mike Caren and John Janick, and had received an invitation from the Recording Academy to serve on the Grammy Awards committee member. "His role was just being ambitious and good," said Atlantic Records VP of A&R Steve Robertson. "He kind of raised the bar for independent major label scouting."
