We know Haley was at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Clarksville last week, not too far from Nashville.

Remember this comment made in late July? The person is Nashville-based.



He works for a production company in Nashville and named Nashville-based Compass Records as the label.

If Haley is doing something in Nashville, she might be financing it on her own without the backing of a label. I say that because of the involvement of the audio production professor from Chicago.

It's an article about SIA. I could see this catching Haley's attention.

...TLDR:

SIA writes "pop" songs for big names, sometimes in less than an hour, that produce big royalty checks. Some of these songs have her vocals on them, creating greater awareness of her as a performer. Because she doesn't have to tour to make a living, or produce pop hits under her own name, she is free to produce music she likes for herself. She has a record deal with RCA that states she doesn't have to tour or do press to promote the album she creates.
