Haley loves doing covers so I thought I'd have a little fun. I dunno how many of you here listen to foreign language music (I listen to tons, I own almost every Putumayo cd LOL) but if anyone here does, what foreign language songs would you love to her to tackle?

I'll start:

I would definitely love to hear her sing a Filipino song since I am from the Philippines.
And I found her really cute when she once uttered a Filipino word when she was here.
But I am still thinking which Filipino song would best fit her voice.

Wow. Haven't tried music with any other languages besides English and Filipino.Coz honestly,it's quite hard for me to appreciate music that I can't understand.But I would surely do if Haley would try to sing a song with a different language.

The only foreign language albums I own are from ABBA's Agnetha Faltskog (I own all her early Swedish albums). She had been song writing since before she was 18 and was a successful pop artist in Sweden before she joined ABBA.

I don't understand a single word of any of her songs, but I'm entranced by the sweetness in her voice with the melodies of her songs...

These are two favorites from a 'guilty pleasure' album, Agnetha's Solo album "Elva kvinnor i ett hus"
(I know cheesy and old fashioned... so sue me )




The songs have an 'innocence' to them that I would love Haley to interpret...the texture in Haley's voice would be an interesting contrast to Agnetha's crystal clear vocals.

A little more modern song than the ones I posted, In the '80's a handful of foreign language songs made the charts. The English and German versions of this song got a lot of radio play. Normally an 'abrasive' sounding language. IMO, Nena's German version of the song was better than her English version.

I love this version...wish I could get the whole song on a download. Her falsetto is unbelievable.
