Yeah, I know John, your right. Rebecca Black's mother paid $4000 to have that video made, and it had 167 million views on you tube after it went viral in 2011. After it was taken down, Rebecca put it on her own you tube channel (she retained all rights to the song) and now has 47 million views. But she got a lot of negative media attention and even received death threats.

Back in the days of much higher album sales (pre 2007) 240k was considered no better than 60k.

You forget what the major demographic of Idol viewers are...Kids in school, many of which that deal with bullying, both on the giving and receiving end, and rebeliousness against authority, judges and things to be jealous about. It's a Revenge of the Nerds thing and an appreciation of the Vote For The Worst website.

Thats why William Hung thrived and prospered.

Himm, I hadn't thought of this in that way. You are right. And to MAE and anyone I may have offended,, I'm sorry for my thoughtless comments. I guess I was just reacting after listening to part of the W. Hung cd. In the future, I will be more careful . about what I am posting.
