Still-if we're talking about the voting power of rural-southern-western America -if I had to bet against her I'd probably have a hard time doing it.Candice may need a knockout punch to win this.
No, Candice WILL require a knockout punch.
From the outset of the announcement of the Top 10, I have been preparing myself for Candice's exit at #3. I knew, at the outset, she had the best voice, she was laying out the best stuff, but -- well, there are those biases (do I need to state them, particularly how well Nicki Minaj "laid it out" the week before Amber's ouster?).
And, this country doesn't really seem to appreciate really good talent -- or truly good music, for that matter except in limited pockets (and, of course, you all think you're within those pockets).
So, I'm astonished -- and, again, thrilled -- at tonight's results.
Well-it'll be an interesting voting split/demographic.I'm not an Angie fan although I can't deny that she's talented but trying to look at it objectively I thought she finished stronger than Kree for the last few shows at least from what I experienced-and from the general feedback from the judges who were pretty hard on Kree. And on that basis I would have though Angie would be in the final. But in the real-Idol voting-world I can't forget what it felt like rooting for Haley two years ago-which felt a little like she was going up a two headed monster going into the final three.

RE: American Idol 2013
Look who's all grown up...Lauren looked about 23, not 18, tonight. She really was cute and funny, along with sounding so mature.
I have no feel for the pulse of America...every time I like someone on Idol, they leave early. Of course Haley is the poster child for Idol contestants that should not have gone home...America doesn't listen to me. I'm the only one that really listens to me, so I enjoy talking to myself.
I know what I like, it just isn't the same as the Southern voting block. We all march to the beat of a different drummer on this forum, and cast our more insightful vote for the One...the one and only Haley Reinhart. I feel good about that vote, which makes me feel good about myself.
