I am here because of Haley Reinhart, Haley Reinhart and Haley Reinhart. Did I mention Haley Reinhart? I had never been actively involved in a fan forum before HER. I initially joined the American Idol.com forums probably for no better reason than to commiserate with other “Halo’s” (American Idol forum’s term for Haliens) regarding the perceived misguided negative manipulation on Haley’s character and talent. I had been a fan of a multitude of singers and groups but had never felt a need to join a fan club or forum prior to Haley.
After joining a funny thing happened, I enjoyed the camaraderie with fellow Halien’s reading and discussing all things Haley and music in general; however, I needed more as Haley’s section on the American Idol forums was slowly dying. I migrated to the short lived iheartreinhart web site and read every single post on Haleyloonies. I most enjoyed the WTF moments outlined on that site. I frequently thought about joining in on the discussion but each time a contemplated joining I kept thinking the comment sections on TVLine were known for at most a few hundred posts before fizzling out and as soon as I join I know it will be over. Never in my wildest imagination would I have thought there would be 3600+ posts. I then migrated to IF; however, over time I found Miguel’s site to be just what I needed. Miguel, it has been said before but I will say it again – I appreciate you creating HF. I appreciate your hard work and your constant quest for keeping us updated on all things Haley. Although I enjoy all of the forum topics I probably look most forward to updates in the Happy for Haley and Haley Reinhart – International Success threads (new WTF moments). I know you have lots of help from fellow Haliens but you are obviously the driving force behind the viability of this site.
If someone had told me two years ago that I would get addicted to an Idol contestant such that I would never miss a day going on the internet for updates on said contestant I would have told them they were crazy. Now I can honestly say that I am the happily crazy one. Crazy for Haley’s voice, musical style and musical instincts. Here’s to hoping that Haley has a long career in making music to satisfy my cravings to hear her sing. I don’t know when my obsession will end but until it does I look forward to sharing the craziness with other Haliens.
