RE: The Voice Season 4
I don't see it more as how well he worked with her on the show.
I just mean the after show effect. Despite Danielle being a cute blonde, I see Michelle with the best chance of a future..because Usher 1. adores her..and 2. actually knows how to help people out. (Rico, Pharell, BEIBER.)
And I don't know that it's the EDM thing, rather than Usher was a new judge and just didn't quite understand the way the show worked...but learns quickly. He quickly understood that..in essence..marketing (4 eyes on the prize, Taylor Swift..) and itunes/song choice were the most important aspect..and applied that with Michelle. Michelle's biggest performances weren't really EDM anyway (Trouble, True Colors, Grenade).
Would he have "gotten Haley" maybe not. But it's possible (and I think probable) he would have gotten her had she been his last remaining contestant.
And that's not even the important thing. I'd be okay with him "getting her" right now, and helping her out. He has a pretty proven track record in the industry in helping people out.

RE: The Voice Season 4
I just adore Michelle. She's got a few beautiful songs on youtube too (When The World Was Young is my favorite)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egBdtLeq7ho
I thought Michelle was exactly what this show stood for. She wouldn't be given a shot at a recording contract because of her looks. And it turns out that she has an ability to really excite an audience. She also pretty much defines emotionally connecting to a song.
Not to mention, her and Usher were just too adorable together.
I didn't dislike Danielle. She was outstanding on "Maybe it was Memphis." But I thought her voice was a little boring, and her performance was more than a little boring. And I thought she sounds too young when she sings. But, I would have loved her 5 or 6 years ago. I know this because Carrie was my favorite, and the resemblance is uncanny.
But I'm not upset she won. She's a better winner for the show. It was pretty clear that both Danielle and Michelle wanted Danielle to win. And it's better for both of their careers that it ended that way.
I love Blake, I hope he doesn't leave, I think him and Adam should be constants on that show. And Usher will beat him season 6.

RE: The Voice Season 4
I loved that duet. I wish the sound mix wasn't screwed up in the beginning. But it's definitely right up their with Casey/Haley "Moaning" and Adam and Allison's "Slow Ride" (Oh, and I forgot Adam and Angie's Titanium. Which is one of my favorites and beautiful), they just didn't have the chemistry that the other three did.)
I think all three duets are instances of two talented people who adore each other getting to sing together. There's an interview with Michelle where she was saying that the finale was one of the toughest things she's ever had to do, in terms of all the stress because of songs and what not, but when she got to rehearse with Usher, her face lit up and it was just like having fun with a friend.
Usually I stay away from personality things. I never watched an interview with Haley (not that idol gave us any opportunity) and it was always about her singing. Of course, I found some of the things she did endearing ("red lipstick massacre), but overall..I'm usually sold on the voice.
With Michelle, I love her voice. I don't think she's got the best voice in the world (although certainly no worse than Danielle or the Swon's), but I absolutely love it. And I'm drawn into how she performs, because she really does emotionally connect. But I'm also very drawn to her as a person. She really does have this..like..pureness..about her. She's clearly a very sweet girl... She's just got this personality that is easy to fall in love with, but she doesn't realize it.
