American Idol Season 10 second-runner up Haley Reinhart talks to us about the new AI judges (hello Nicki and Mimi!) and… James Franco?

MARIAH CAREY: “She’s very technical. She says things that only singers would go, “Oh my god, are you reading my mind?” It’s really powerful stuff ‘cos she’s been through it. I think of Marilyn Monroe when I look at her. I don’t know her personally, but her actions have been very (puts on a dramatic tone, and mimics the singer’s habit of showing only her left profile) diva-esque! It’s kind of funny, but she comes across as a very sweet person.”

FOX International Channels (FIC) Trade Party | Singapore Business Review

The event was a FOX International Channels party to celebrate and welcome the addition of Sports to the FIC lineup of genres. Highlights of the night included appearances by notable FOX Sports and STAR Sports presenters Steve Dawson, Colette Wong, Andrew Leci and Andy Penders, as well as a surprise motorbike ride-in by Charley Boorman, one of the most well-loved and well-known bikers in the world, and also star of the new FIC travel series Freedom Riders. Guests were entertained by a live performance by American Idol S10 finalist Haley Reinhart, who flew in specially for this party.

TV’s fames Master Chef Sharone Hakman assisted in preparing the Gala Dinner that progressed into an after-party Rock Bar party. 

Sharone entertained the audience with live-cooking demonstrations throughout the lavish 5-course dinner before yielding the stage for a performance by American Idol Season 11 finalist Thia Megia that included a stirring cover of Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’.

This was followed by a snake handling demonstration by National Geographic’s Wild Dangerous Encounters host, Brady Barr.

I like this interview. The interviewer seemed relaxed and at ease and Haley came across the same way. The video quality is also really good, nice and clear.
