^^ Naima Adedapo is looking especially good these days! I really appreciated her even more after the season ended. She was always the most friendly at the meet & greets!

Naima is a beautiful young woman (those eyes!) who can move like nobody's business (that long, lithe body!). Perhaps she should have tried out for So You Think You Can Dance instead of, or in addition to AI.

It's so nice that this group of young people, no matter how different from one another, formed such a strong bond that they still appreciate and support their cohorts the way that this group did/does.

Playing Haley's Idol Journey Playlist in the background while I work, I remembered that there were Ford commercials she was in during the season, but they're low resolution on Youtube, too low to include in Haley's Journey video. So I looked them up, here's what's left that's posted.

So, a few days ago, I saw this link on Twitter from a blogger's column from March 2012 about Haley on S10. Basically, she had never watched Idol until she saw Haley perform and she became hooked on her. Maybe folks have seen this blog article before, but I had not, and it really is a great look at Haley's journey and challenges. And, I believe Haley's Dad even submitted a comment thanking her for the blog.

Meanwhile, my only comment is that a performance from that season that has grown on me over the years is "Blue". I simply love the studio version of that song, and how she performed it live as well. It is often overlooked given all her great performances that year, and it is not noted in the blog, but she really, really nailed a very difficult iconic song.

It's often overlooked because Randy panned it. The AI vocal coach was impressed though. Looking at the comments on Taste of Country, so were many country-music fans:

I recall when that first appeared. It's fun to revisit. She did a great job, often building on Slezack's themes. Nice to see Harry's comments.

She did an exceptional job with Blue. I agree with Miguel that one of the reasons it is overlooked is because of the taint that Randy's comments put on it. That also happened with You and I.

I saw a video that was only up briefly from the Grand Old Opry of Lauren performing the song post AI. Very pale. It made me think of comments from Lauren on AI defending Haley as the best singer. It also made me think that Lauren may have felt deflated a bit when she her heard Haley's performance early on during season 10. After all, Haley came into her territory and gave a performance that she couldn't even approach.
