I don't think Stefano factored into writing Undone. I think I recall her saying that TPTB suggested she should put a song like that on her album, that they had to help guide her writing the song because that's usually not a frame of mind she was familiar with. It made her explore a part of herself that she's not used to....

It might not be exactly like that, kind of basically saying the people she worked with on the album needed to push her a little, to write a song and a sentiment that she's not used to expressing...

If I had to guess a song that might have a connection to Stefano, my guess would be "Better"

Stefano may not of factored into the writing but I think the hurt factored into the singing for awhile....maybe.

I could have the timing off .... the split up between the two came after Haley had been released from Interscope. Or, at least, that's when we learned about it. Stefano was "on a roll"....

The split with Stefano (I'm sure there wasn't any ring involved) happened well before the split with Interscope and I don't think it was very long after James Durbin's wedding on New Years Eve 2011 that they went together to. The songs were recorded for the LU album that January. I believe the songs (including "undone") were all written before they split.

Stefano was with Haley when she flubbed the lyrics to the Michael Jackson song, which was reported by TMZ, in August 2012. She attended a USC football game with him and Chiara (and her date) at the beginning of September. They apparently broke up not long afterwards. That was months after Listen Up! was released. Haley officially parted ways with Interscope in November of that year.

To be clear, I'm referring to a metaphorical ring (the way it's used in the song) when I say I think the lyrics in "Better" might have had to do with her relationship w/ Stefano, referring to a break up of a relationship, one that 'weighed' her down, not a literal ring, as if to imply it represented 'something more'
