I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, or if this is even the place to put this. But I just discovered a former Idol contestant from season two (who actually didn't last past Hollywood week) back in 2002 and just released her second album in 2012. Her first album was a small independent release and her second was paid for through Kickstart. I had never heard of her until I saw her on Austin City Limits last night and instantly fell in love with her. Her sound is unique and heartfelt and she has an amazing way with an audience (sound familiar?). She may never be a big star, but she is still doing what she loves and has found success at least on a local Austin level.

I guess what I'm saying is there is no one way to go in the music biz and you never know what might be just around the corner if you keep on truckin'. All I know is I love this girl and immediately bought her newest album (which is great!). I'm sure Haley will continue to grow as an artist and more and more people will discover her. Just like I just did with Kat Edmonson.
