Happy One Year Anniversary to Listen Up!

A year ago I was fortunate to attend Haley's Album Debut Eve performance in Hollywood California. I attended with Bugged from IDF (The Urban Sage/@intrepidheroin). I now know others were there too like, Rachel, Stephanie (@ArchuletaCrazy), ‏@BradyTheBengal , Greg and Mona. I met Casey for the first time as well as S10 finalist, Tim Halperin.



Such a big night for all Haliens as Haley's debut album was finally here

A year ago today I was so nervous/scared all day because my pre-order package came so late!! I really wish I could go back to that magical feeling when I heard Listen Up! for the first time

I had the opposite experience, I got my copy on the 17th....way before anyone else I know did...it was killing me not to be able to discuss the album with anyone ( I still have the package with the date)

I remember immediatly putting it in my car stereo to take on a drive and being blasted by the bass in "Oh My" and "Liar" ( Will we ever get to hear "Liar" live? )

"Liar" and "Wonderland" - wish I could hear both of those live! Hell I wish I could hear Haley sing anything live soon since I haven't seen her since the day after the Christmas Stage-It when I was so warmly greeted by all the Reinharts including Haley in their Living Room.

I was in the car for an hour & a half today and had "Listen Up" play twice thru. There is something about "Liar" that makes my car doors pulsate to the beat. When I hear "Oh My" I long for the new verse version instead of the B.o.B. rap. If this was a vinyl album I'm sure by now I would have worn the needle of the turntable all the way thru to the other side. Best album I own (all 6 copies of them).

The "Official CD Release Party" was a year ago.
"Listen Up!" was officially released on May 22nd.

Yes it was exactly 1 year ago today that I got my Listen Up! CD in the mail, and then later on that day I got to see Haley perform in person for the 1st time & meet her for the 1st time ever!











Oh how time flies! And to think, so much more has happened with me & Haley since then! Here's to many more years

Isn't it amazing that a year has passed already? I can still recall the anticipation for the Listen Up! release like it was yesterday. Man, remember when we first heard that acoustic version of Free with Neara on keyboard? I would try to imagine how it would sound with full band and studio production. And then there was the excitement of hearing samples of each song on iTunes! Each first seemed to take forever to get here and arrived to almost overwhelming excitement. Good times. Now I am waiting to hear the new material with equal excitement!

I still can't believe they didn't give Haley any promotion and gave up on Listen Up so quickly.

Fantastic pop album. It's easily the best that I own.
