Interesting-that's Mel Torme's son.

I didn’t realize Mel Torme had a son who was following in his Dad’s footsteps. From what I have heard from snippets of his songs from his debut album “Love for Sale”, he closely resembles his father’s style. His scatting is very good too. I felt that Mel Torme was the King of scat with Ella Fitzgerald being the Queen.

I sure wish I could be there. These advance notices are so short. Another dream performance, I hope we will get videos.

I didn't realize it either.Mel was nick named The Velvet Fog because of the mellow timbre of his voice.His son sounds somewhat like Michael Buble.
