Haley at the Cosmopolitan August 15-17

^^^That's why it's fun. Everyone (assuming they are there to see Haley) is there for the same reason you are, and are as excited to see her as you. You have an immediate bond, and the normal "stranger" barriers disappear.

When I saw Haley at Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago for her Listen UP album party, I went with a friend. She sat at the bar in the back, instead of being close to the stage with me. I was standing next to a couple and struck up a conversation with them. They had driven a ways to see Haley and were very excited. We talked on and off (well, I probably did most of the talking as I tend to talk too much ) but they thanked me at the end of the night and said it was nice meeting someone who was as much of a fan as them.

I think that's what made things a little easier, when I met other 'known' fans, they weren't 'complete' strangers... Let's see,

-Intrepid Heroin (one of the LA Haliens) who posed as my girlfriend, thnx to a nice elderly couple who let us line up in the front with them (My 'parents' )
(apparently the other LA Haliens and Greg and Mona were there too)

-Himm2 and Babbs @ Lolla
(and I think, @Haleyscoop, when she interviewed Himm2 for the paper, while we were in the autograph line)

I agree with your comments, I am so thrilled that I will actually be meeting the people whose words I have been reading all this time, to be able to put faces to those forum names and also to meet Haley fans who will be “new” to me. Listening to Haley live will be unbelievable but sitting there with fellow fans who love Haley as much as I do will be an even greater maybe synergistic experience. It is very frustrating for whatever reason not to be able to share my excitement for Haley locally.

This is the reason I was divided between the Cosmo and the Halien Party. Himm2 is providing a tremendous opportunity for Haley’s fans to mingle and interact with each other in various events and activities to really get to know each other as well as to meet Haley and her family. I will miss that camaraderie and it appears a lot of Haliens will be there, many regulars to this site that I would like to meet including Himm2, Miguel, Babbs, NUG, Haleylvr4evr, Bonjojet, just everyone who is going that posts here.

But I have to admit, I cannot miss seeing Haley in an intimate atmosphere that is conducive to her jazzy styling.

By the way Tusk, you are such a good conversationalist that I am surprised that you are introverted.

We're all onions with our different layers, Our strengths and weaknesses, Haley just happens to be the resource from which I draw, there are so many facets about her that are fun to discuss.....

I enjoy talking about her, if that keeps the conversation going, all the better

I ADORE jazzy Haley - I'm very envious of the people who'll make it to Vegas...it's a great situation where you'll be up close and personal to her performances. Lucky!!

I am an introvert as well, until I get to know people well. After that occurs, all shyness disappears and a class clown emerges. Because of my work, I've had to force myself to be able to make conversation with strangers, but it's not comfortable that's for sure. Like others have said, I expect the common bond we all share to make it much easier.

Himm I didn't mean to exclude you. That is the night I met you, and I am so grateful that you turned me on to this website. And I feel I met a true friend that night. But I did kind of feel like I was in your way, as you were preparing to film Haley, and you were sitting at the bar too.

I met that couple when I went up near the stage to hear her sing.
