Haley headlining at Buffalo Grove Days (Illinois) on 8-31-13

Landed in Seattle. Just wanted to gush one more time about everything and everyone that made this the most special of all of my trips. You might have noticed I haven't posted a retelling of my last couple trips. We've had so many new additions to our family that it's been fun to be the one sitting back & enjoying reading the enthusiasm of other's experiences. I didn't feel the need to add further. If you've met me during these trips you will probably have heard me preach about contributing your thoughts, even if you felt it might have been said before. A blog thrives on contribution. More voices means better variety, more hands pulling in the same direction, team contribution.

When I finally settle, I'll post what I can upon completion of the trifecta.

This was my setup:



An H2N Zoom recorder attached to a Pentax Q camera using a hot-shoe/ tripod-hole adapter. The rig was then mounted to a lightweight but sturdy monopod. Instead of steadying the monopod by resting it on the ground, I held it over my head. Near the end of the concert, I realized I could rest the monopod on the camera bag I had strapped around my neck. Though the camera was not as high, it was easier on my arms.

Very nice Miguel, excellent work...but let's face it, your arms were tired from all those U-turns you had to make in the rental car trying to find the concert.

The guy who posted this video from further back is a good friend of the Reinharts who has played on stage with them a few times that I know about anyway. Funny that their good friend spelled "Hayley's" name wrong.

Well, I received Peter Spero's digital audio. I think there might have been a misunderstanding. The audio file appears to be a digital recording from the stage and not part of the feed that goes through the mix

The audio is good, the vocal is clear, the instrumentation is not pronounced and the background singing is quiet too.

BUT

Some people were near the microphone ...yakking and yelling, laughing and joking ruining a pretty decent audio. It doesn't go throughout, but basically ruined some nice audio. There are some songs like " Oh Darlin", that can be used. How disappointing that there is loud banter throughout "Spiderweb"

Hopefully, we can find a way to lift the chatter from the audio

If we have to, THF's audio is good enough too, if we can't fix Peter 's file.
