I took the background photo from the area that you NameThatTune/Croquet players were letting Janni win before the rains came. HL4E/Lisa did the American English concert get cut off when the storm clouds rolled in?? I know I heard the fireworks about a half hour later than they were scheduled.

Yes they cancelled it. I got there right at 7:30 when they were starting, they played for about 20 minutes and then we had to leave. The sky looked scary with all the lightning flashing.

The Weather Gods were on our side Saturday Night!
Friday Night the sky was like Randy Jackson:
Blustery, Thunderous, eager to zap and full of hot air!

Saturday Night was like Jennifer Lopez:
Beautiful, comfortable and only slightly threatening.

Sunday Night the sky was like Nicki Minaj:
Colorful with swirling clouded thoughts and ready to blow.

Monday the sky was like Steven Tyler:
Pleasant with a Sunny outlook, a Cool dude.

It was Haley's magical voice that turned this crazed, oversized rabbit away from the dark side ...

Actually, I should add, we need to recognise Himm2's genius move of inviting those within the Reinhart's circle. Not only was it a way to make them feel comfortable, and maybe leading Haley to stay the duration, but it also gave all of us someone to talk to besides Haley and the Reinharts so we weren't suffocating them. Also, it helped us learn more about the people that encouraged the growth of such grounded people.
I still can't get over that I had a conversation with Haley and Angie's teacher .....

I agree. I thought it was thoughtful and smart of Himm2 (him??) to do that, but hadn't recognized the full extent to which that would play out.

Haley & Angie's English & soccer teacher (Sue Stein) is still talking about her conversation with you Tusk. She actually tried to find you to say goodbye but when she couldn't she asked me to tell you. I should have thought to invite Brian Logan - Haley's mentor for the Wheeling High School Jazz Band who I have on email call - but then Haley might have been talking to him all day instead of us. We did get Haley & Angie's music teacher (they had 5 years with her) from Mark Twain School who now works at my wife's Cooper middle school. Also Bob & Lori Radcliffe were there whose son played in Haley's Band before she went to Idol and their other son and friend of Haley's died of a Heroin OD during Haley's top 7 week which is why Haley pushed her big body guard out of the way to get to them and give them a sad hug during her Hometown Celebration a few weeks later since she couldn't get home for the funeral because of Idol.

I'm so glad to have talked to Sue... I have HUGE respect for educators, and wanted to let her know how one of her students had so profoundly influenced me, reawakened my love for art and music.

That's nice to hear, Tusk. Despite what may seem to be a nice schedule (summers off??? -- well, sort of), they have an extremely important and often difficult job, usually with not particularly good pay. Speaking of Haley's former teachers -- a couple of whom have been her music teachers, it would be nice if Haley could play some small part in this month's StageIt shows which is teaming with the Playing for Change Foundation. Wow, what a sky that was! Ominous but cool. Glad you got your contests in. We were so lucky this time (as opposed to Arlington Park). Thank God it was Sat. instead of Sunday that we were booked. We would never have gotten it in or if we did we would have lost half the crowd.

So last season it was "Angie Miller" - the name that made me think of Angie & Patti Miller.
This season it will be "Harry Connick, Jr." the new judge to join J Lo & Keith Urban and
when I hear that name on Idol I'll think it means "Harry, Can Nick Bell be your Junior guitar apprentice?"

The accolades for the concert & shindig keep pouring in. Too many to copy you all on.

...I took the background photo from my detention basin Sunday Night as the Croquet players were trying to win the Name-That-Tune Prize that Haley autographed before the rains came. Bonjojet the DJ guy (Ryan) had to drive back to Ohio with his Karaoke equipment before we had a chance to have the Name That Tune Contest so we used Croquet to select a winner - The winner was Yanni (John) from California. The winner of the Hula hoop Contest was Lisa who barely had to move to keep her Hoop going:

Buzz (Dave) won the Karaoke contest prize even though it was for playing a B-Ball H.A.L.E.Y. game instead of Karaoke.
